Random Act of Kindness Blog Hop - October 2017

APMCreations | October 2017 RAK Blog Hop

Thanks for joining us on another Random Act of Kindness Blog Hop!  You are visiting Angie McKenzie in the USA.  I am showcasing the cards I have given &/or received as part of the Random Act of Kindness Card Group on Facebook (aka Group).

In any given month, we each randomly select a few members from the Group to send a RAK card to brighten their day - just because.  There is nothing like sharing our love of creating handmade cards to spread sunshine around the world!  Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory).  #imbringingRAKcardsback #MakeACardSendACard

September was another exciting month for me, so sit back, put your feet up and relax for a while... you might want to warm up your coffee or tea, first though, as I share some beauties with you!

Look at all these beauties I received this month from around the world!
I definitely felt the kindness being spread around the world and loved a lot!

Can you say FALL?!?!  Yes, they are all gorgeous!

Definitely lifted my spirits plus the corners of my mouth - SMILE!

I was tickled pink when this card showed up in MY mailbox because several other
RAK members had been ooo-ing and ahh-ing about it including me!
I love the stamp set AND the background created with an embossing folder.

Diecutting DSP?!?
I LOVED this inspiration especially in my favorite new In Color!
Now here are the cards that I had fun sending out during September!  I hope they bring a smile to your face and/or inspire you in some way with your creativity!

Birthday cards I made for the Occasions and Birthday September Event in our RAK group!
I love using the baby wipe technique on leaves - it's such a realistic effect of nature - and, of course,
I had to use my fav ribbon - burlap!
I gave a sneak peek of my September RAK cards in last month's blog hop so today you can actually see why I was so excited about them!

Do you spy something green mixed in the stack like maybe inside the cards in the lower picture?!?!
That was why I was so excited!!!

I had so much fun creating Chlorophyll Watercolor Press inserts for my RAK cards this month.
This picture shows the drying process after I ran fresh picked greenery through my BigShot.

Half of the inserts for September!  Yes, you see two per stack as the covered insert is a "mirror image" of the top one.
Second half of the inserts!  And there's more than this for me to still share over the next couple of months!!!

Stamping the envelopes is just as much fun as stamping the cards!
This was the first of ??? mailings for September... I had so much fun and if the recipients smiled as much upon spying them in their mail as I did making them - I'm smiling even bigger now!
This wonderful group not only spreads kindness, but it builds friendships!  Friendships across the miles... across the waters... across the street... anywhere there is a mailbox.  :)

And these friendships even help us through tough times, too...  I made this sympathy card for a RAK member you lost her stepfather unexpectedly.  This group is such a loving and caring group.  And RAKs always seem to land in mailboxes when it matters most.

The original card (designed by my SU demo and fellow RAK member, Chris Shively Smith)
used a Cherry Cobbler card base with Basic Black and Copper Ribbon.
I had to CAS(e) or "Angie-ize" the card by making it natural vs elegant.
The linen bow with a touch of trimmed Burlap Ribbon
is my modified Billie Bow which is the perfect finishing touch.
I hope you have been inspired by all these projects on my blog today.  You are currently visiting Angie McKenzie.  Please see the list below and hop around all of the people on the list to see all our projects.  You sure don't want to miss any!  Thanks for hopping by and I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll again soon!!
